A floating vanity (also known as a wall-hung vanity), is mounted to the wall and floats above the floor. So instead of extending to the floor, there’s a space between the bottom of the vanity and the floor. It’s a modern version of the more traditional vanity and makes the bathroom look larger whilst highlighting the flooring.

Also known as a vanity-on-a-kick, a floor-standing vanity extends to the floor with a kickboard that covers the space between the bottom of the cabinet doors and the floor. It’s a more traditional vanity that provides plenty of storage and is timeless and classic.

If your vanity sits close to the side wall in your bathroom, you’ll need a packer so there are no awkward gaps between the wall and the vanity. It’s important to let the retail store know this when you place your order because we can then include a packer with your order. 

The reason for a packer is not just to fill the gap, however, but it’s also to ensure the vanity does not go hard up against the wall which prevents the drawers/doors from opening to their full extension. This is especially important in houses where the walls are not plumb or “splay”.

We need to know whether the drawers or doors are on the right or left side of the vanity (make this decision when standing in front of the vanity) to ensure that it suits your existing plumbing.

If you’ve selected a cabinet with a single door we need to know which side you would like the door hinged (right or left side). So face the space where your vanity/cabinet will be installed and decide which side to hinge your door. You need the hinges to be installed correctly so it’s easy to access the inside of the cabinet.

When ordering a vanity with a stone or fully moulded top let us know how many tap holes you need so we can professionally drill these access points at our factory. However, if you’re installing a wall-mounted mixer tap then you don’t need tap holes in the countertop, so always state NO tap holes on the order form.

To ensure that you receive a high-quality vanity, we include a fully recessed toe kick with all floor-standing vanities (for easy tiling and cleaning) and a 16mm void for “out of square” walls on all our corner units. We also include quality, fully adjustable metal hinges with a lifetime warranty on all vanity cabinets.

We use 2 Pac Gloss which is a fully sealed and hardened 2 Pac painted finish with a superb depth of colour that brightens up the darkest of bathrooms.

Our hardware (hinges, drawer boxes, soft close systems & handles) comes with a manufacturer’s 14-year warranty.
